The Okotoks Bisons are heading into a three game weekend starting Friday night at home against the Three Hills Thrashers.

The Bisons split their games last weekend beating the Strathmore Wheatland Kings last Friday but lost to the Coaldale Coperheads on Sunday.

Assistant captain Keifer Shaufler says that they were missing their bounces in the Coaldale game.

He says they have been working on it but you have to be ready for the game to win it and practice is a huge component.

"Our practices of late have been good and that will be helpful with having only 7 games left before going into the play off run," Shaufler says.

Shaufler says that they want to win Fridays game against the Thrashers after they lost to them in Three Hills in the first half of the season.

After the game against Three Hills on Friday they head out to Strathmore to take on the Wheatland Kings a team that they have beaten two weekends in a row.

How ever Shuffler says that even after beating the Wheatland Kings two weekends in a row they can't get to comfortable against them.

"Again we didn't get the results we exactly wanted, we did get two points but we would have liked to beat them by a little more."

This is the third weekend in a row that the Bisons will take on the Wheatland Kings and the second time this month that the Bisons will face the Flyers.

Shaufler says that it isn't that you become comfortable playing the same team close together it is just nice, especially this close to playoffs.

"These are teams that we probably will be playing in the play offs, so it is nice to play them later in the season," Shuffler says.

Puck drop Friday against the Thrashers is at 8 p.m in the Murray Arena.
