Some of the top Junior hockey prospects along with the best Bantam AAA teams will make Pason Centennial Arena home this week for the 2016 Western Championships.

Five teams are in the running for the top Bantam squad in Western Canada including the host Rocky Mountain Raiders.

Tournament organizer Travis Thiesen says fans and scouts in attendance will see plenty of talent players including the possiblity of five prospects projected to go in the Top 20 picks at next week's WHL Bantam Draft.

"It's a pretty good opportunity to see him live right there in front of you right before the Bantam Draft," he says. "It's a very prestigious event these are the top teams from the province and Western Canada facing off against each other."

One of those prospects is Peyton Krebs who notched 102 points in 27 regular season games with the Raiders.

The teams fighting with the Raiders for Bantam AAA supremacy include the Burnaby Winter Club, Winnipeg Monarchs, Yorkton Terriers and the Alberta champion Lethbridge Golden Hawks.

Thiesen says you can get a variety of ticket packages online or starting Thursday at the box office.

"An all games package which features all games from Thursday right through to the Gold Medal game on Sunday are $50. We also offer for people who want to come for a day to see three or four games playing that day is $15 a day."
