Two men are in custody after a robbery about 3 p.m. Friday afternoon at the Alberta Treasury Branch in Blackie.

High River RCMP Staff Sergeant Robin Alexander says one of the men who has been apprehended is believed to have been involved in other robberies around Alberta.

Sgt. Alexander says one man entered the bank about three o'clock, produced a handgun and demanded cash.

Police say he and another man made off with an undisclosed amount of money and fled in a white pick-up truck that was spotted northbound on Highway 2.

They were spotted and after a short pursuit into the south end of the Calgary two men were arrested.

Formal charges have not been laid so the men's names have not been released.

There were no injuries and no damage to the vehicles in the chase.

One of the men arrested is believed to have been involved in other robberies in Onoway, Linden, Alliance and Acme.
