Thursday, July 11 was the Annual Teddy Bear Picnic at the Okotoks Recreation Center Murray Arena. There were plenty of fun activities that kept kids’ busy well parents could ask questions at the booths.

Children and parents curled up on picnic blankets to enjoy a packed picnic with their favorite stuffed animal. There were complimentary snackssuch as yummy popcorn, popsicles, and pastries from COBS Bread that families enjoyed during the picnic.

Bear-care stations took care of all stuffed animal needs. They got their shots and bandaged up any injuries that any stuffed bear might have suffered over their many years of love. The Eagle 100.9 bear made his rounds and got a check-up from his friends at the Foothills Animal Hospital.

The Okotoks Fire and Police Department were in attendance. Tours of both the police car and fire truck were a hit with the kids. The firemen posed with the Eagle 100.9 bear for a photo.
