The decision by the Alberta Government to fight a trade panel ruling over subsidies to Alberta's Craft Breweries is not sitting well with one local MLA.

Wayne Anderson says it shows the NDP Government doesn't respect agreements, or taxpayers.

"So they overtax everybody and then they give back tax dollars to some individuals and then of course their being incentivized to open up their Breweries. I think it's wonderful that they're opening up businesses, but when you have to subsidize institutions and organizations to operate, that technically in the long run isn't going to help the taxpayers. Let the market set the system. Let the market set the conditions."

Anderson says using taxpayer dollars to subsidize Alberta business is "reverse economics."
