A new trailer for Ghostbusters: Afterlife dropped on Monday, July 27, showcasing a few Alberta locations.

Filming took the cast and crew to several areas of the province, including Fort Macleod, Foothills County, Drumheller, and Turner Valley.

Drumheller is featured very prominently in the trailer, with its downtown streets having played the role of Summerville, Oklahoma. The fictional location is central to the movie's plot, which revolves around a family moving to the small town.

A few Foothills locations can be spotted as well.

The old farmhouse seen in the trailer was a full-sized set erected in the countryside of Foothills County.

In the movie, the desolate location was at one point the home of Egon Spengler, one of the four original Ghostbusters played by Harold Ramis.

Turner Valley's old gas plant can also be seen very briefly, and, in the trailer, appears to house some sort of shrine to the original film's antagonist, Gozer.

The old gas plant near Turner Valley will be featured and seems to play a key role in the film's story.

The trailer provides fans with a few more clues regarding the film's plot, as well as a look at returning characters from the original films including Ray Stantz (Dan Akroyd) and Janine Melnitz (Annie Potz).

The long-awaited sequel to the 1984 classic and its 1989 sequel was originally scheduled to debut in July of 2020, but after several delays, it looks like Sony Pictures has settled on November 11 for the release date.
