The deadline is fast approaching if you'd like to nominate someone for the Alberta Beef Producers 2016 Environmental Stewardship Award.

The award recognizes cattle producers whose natural resource stewardship practices contribute to the environment while, at the same time, increasing productivity and profitability.

A team of judges made up of ABP delegates, this years winner and an industry associate will review the submissions and tour the ranching operations that have been nominated.

The winner receives a commemorative gate sign, a video highlighting their ranching operation and a trip from anywhere in Alberta to the 2015 Alberta Beef Producers AGM in Calgary, where the award will be presented.

The competition is open to all cattle producers but the deadline for nominations is Wed. July 1.

The winner will be announced in December.

Nomination forms can be found at: http://www.albertabeef.org/uploads/CallForNominationspdf-354.pdf, from the ABP office or from your local delegate.
