The process was easy, once you purchased your tickets, decided on which delicious treats you would try first, you could then sit down, have a bite and enjoy some live  entertainment from some local performers. When you finished your first sample you simply went and got more!

Last year’s attendance for Taste of Okotoks was estimated at over 12,000! This year, again, the downtown was teeming with happy hungry people. We caught up with some vendors as they were first setting up and were excited as they anticipated the busy day ahead. We spoke again a couple hours later and some estimated they had seen well over 600 people at their tasting booths and the event wasn't over yet!

I attempted to get a photo of all the food vendors. Sorry if I missed you.

Thanks to all of you for putting so much prep time and work into this event, and for providing such delicious samples, your efforts were appreciated.

  • Once you had a chance to sample some food you could walk it off by visiting the 100+vendors from MarketSquare selling their wares! The market featured a wide array of local artisans and boutique businesses showcasing fantastic hand-made and imported home decor, jewelry, food, accessories & more. This in addition to the boutique shops in downtown made for the perfect shopping experience!

What a great day, and it was all wrapping up just as the wind picked up and the clouds rolled in. Another perfectly timed event here in Okotoks!

So, yes another sucessful and fun event, and yes, I also tried a few yummy samples, enjoyed some entertainment, and got a little shopping in.
