Call the musicians in your life!

There's a new place to get your stuff recorded and it's coming this year!

2020 was a wild one for musicians and producers... obviously.
For a lot of them, it was a year of live streams and social pushes to get their work out there. Lots of music was made this past year but one part of the process should usually be left in the hands of the pros!

Recording and producing!

It's an art one might say!
For local musician and producer Craig Carswell, 2021 is looking to be a big year. He and his wife are starting to put together a space for local artists young and old to get their music recorded and mixed. I got the chance to catch up with Craig about the start of his new studio.

He got his musical start in metal bands (more metal than your mom's kettle he might say) he turned to producing music after taking courses in audio engineering. Working with local stars he built a name for himself in the area.

"I worked with Maren Ord, She's from Okotoks. She was a Juno nominee back in the day for one of her songs and recently her and I did a song with Evie Claire who was a finalist on America's Got Talent ... Plus like locals that I love, like Rick Croker, guys like that. Just been a blast working with everyone."

The new studio is open for any artists but Craig wants to focus on one group in particular

"I'm definitely more driven towards locals and YOUTH. We really want to push like getting youth in and giving them like a better product than they would be able to afford elsewhere."

The NEW Red Black Recording studio will be ready to open in March this year.
