The RCMP have laid charges in the death of a 27-year-old Foothills County man.
Just after midnight early Saturday morning on Sept 3 Banff RCMP were alerted via 911 to an altercation outside of a local bar.
Alberta RCMP Major Crimes took over the investigation of the homicide and continue to do so.
Initially, two suspects were arrested; however, one was released without charges as RCMP determined he was not directly involved.
The other suspect, 20-year-old John Sproule from Lake Country, B.C. had been charged with second degree murder.
