The 10th Annual Together We Can Make a Difference Radiothon is in the books.

Hosted in the parking lot of the Eagle 100.9 on Elizabeth Street, the event is a fundraiser for multiple local wellness initiatives through the Sheep River Health Trust (SRHT).

They set a lofty goal of $75,000 this year, and the unofficial total at the end of the event is $78,617.80.

Health Trust Executive Director Andrea Mitchell is thrilled at the result.

"It's such a great event and every year it builds, and every year we have more community partners. This year the need increased, we had nine groups that came forward looking for funding, so we'll continue to do it, as the need is there."

As always, it was a bit of a party, with music, food trucks, and local vendors on site.

There's still some money yet to be added to the total, including the Sobeys Till campaign which ends on June 24, Sector 6's campaign where $1 from every fruit smoothie sold in June goes toward the Health Trust, and a similar campaign from Big Beaver Brewing where every a dollar from every lager sold in June will be donated.

The organizations receiving funding this year are:

- Okotoks Family Resource Centre

- Foothills Family Medical Centre

- It Takes a Village Community Foundation

- Orenda Society

- Foothills Community Counselling
