Ag for Life is bringing agriculture to the classroom. It is a non for profit organization which teaches students from kindergarten to grade 12.

Program Coordinator with Ag for Life, Sarah Linde, says they teach rural and farm safety, as well as provide training for young farm workers.

"We'll cover topics like where your food comes from, what's the difference between organic and conventional farming, and what's some new technology coming up in agriculture right now. We talk to the kids about what's happening in Alberta."

Linde adds, they want to allow the kids to make educated choices about their food preferences.

There are lots of volunteer opportunities to teach for people who are passionate about agriculture.
