The WPCA season came to an end Sunday afternoon in Rocky Mountain House, with "Lightning" Luke Tournier coming out on top as the 2016 world champion.

He says there's not much money for winning the title, but it looks good on the resume.

"We got some of the money in Dawson (Creek, Battle of the North). This one's more of a prestige thing. It's not the biggest paying. But it seems like most people get excited about it. So, I'm glad I've got that notch in my belt."

Chad Harden took the "Battle of the North" title with the top four day time.

High River's Jordie Fike finished the season strong as he was fifth over the four days.

Milo's Jess Willard was 11th.

While High River's Jason Glass was 12th and Okotoks Mark Sutherland was 18th.
