The Okotoks Oilers managed to eke out a 3-2 overtime win over the Kodiaks Tuesday, November 22, in Camrose to move into sole possession of third spot in the AJHL's South Division.

Oilers forward Trey Degraaf says it wasn't their best game, but they'll take the two points and move on.

"We played the way we wanted to. You know, maybe we didn't capitalize the way we wanted to. But, I think overall we were happy with it. We knew we could have ended it before overtime. We weren't too worried I guess. And just had to stay with it, and stay the course."

Cory Santoro and Nolan Thomson scored in regulation for the Oilers, with AJHL Player of the Week, Tanner Laderoute popping the winner just shy of three minutes into the extra frame.

The Oilers are back home Friday, November 25, to play the Drayton Valley Thunder.
