The Okotoks Oilers open a seven game road trip tonight as they head to the Border City Friday night.

It will be the second time the Oilers and Lloydminster Bobcats have squared off this season, the Oilers took the first of three meetings at the AJHL Showcase September 30 2-1.

The green and gold are coming off a 3-0 shutout of the South Division leading Calgary Canucks on Sunday afternoon while the Bobcats are 1-11 to start the year but are on a mini one game winning streak beating the top team in the North Division the Spruce Grove Saints 4-3 in a shootout.

Currently the Oilers (8-3-1) are tied for third in the South Division but just two points back of the Canucks for first with two games in hand.

Puckdrop at the Centennial Civic Centre goes at 7:30 p.m.

The Oilers will be in action again  Saturday night as they will take on Spruce Grove at the Grant Fuhr Arena at 7 p.m.
