Night one of the chucks in Rocky Mountain House saw High River's Jason Glass post the sixth fastest time of the night.

Kurt Bensmiller had the fast time of the night, followed by Gary Gorst, Rick Fraser, Codey McMurrach and World Championship points leader Luke Tournier in fifth.

Okotoks Mark Sutherland was 12th, a little under two seconds back of Bensmiller.

High River's Jordie Fike was 16th, while Milo's Jess Willard is 26th heading into night two Friday.

The wagon with the best aggregate time after four nights of racing gets the "Battle of the Rockies" title.

The WPCA will hand out the World Champion award at the end of Sunday's races as well.
