The season may have ended in heartbreak but the Okotoks Dawgs are celebrating another successful season with their yearly award winners.

Taking home hardware this season includes fan favourite Kellan Marruffo who was named the team's Most Valuable Player.

Marruffo lead the team in hitting with a .378 average with six homeruns.

The Dawgs rookie of the year went to Michael Gretler who hit .336 with 36 RBIs.

Brendan Rose took the club's True Grit Player award which was given to MVP Kellan Marruffo a season ago, Rose hit .359 and lead the team in hits with 61.

The team's Pitcher of the Year award was split between starter CJ Lewington and closer Anthony Baldaras.

Lewington was undefeated with a 6-0 record with 35 strikeouts, while Baldaras from the bullpen had a 0.85 ERA with 27 strikeouts in 20 innings pitched.

All award winners were named to the WMBL's 1st All-star team.
