The Okotoks Oilers had a valiant playoff run during their first season in the BCHL playoffs, sweeping the Spruce Grove Saints in their first-round best-of-five series and then pushing the Brooks Bandits to seven games in the second round.

Jagger Tapper led the team with 12 points in 10 games, and team captain Dean Spak was tied with Tapper for most goals with five. Spak had three game-winners out of his five goals and one of them happened to be the series winner against the Spruce Grove Saints.

Rookie defenceman Sam Hall, who hails from Oldwick, New Jersey had the most points from an Oilers D-man with a goal and six assists.

Christian Green played superbly, giving the Green and Gold a chance to win every night with his stellar goaltending and finished with 6 wins and 4 losses.

While the Oilers fell in seven games in the second round, they can hold their heads high as they did better than many expected.
