A Foothills man is facing charges after he was pulled over in a stolen truck.
RCMP Southern Alberta District Crime Reduction Unit were investigating a property crime in Mountain View County on Monday (April 22) when they came across a white GMC Sierra with an obstructed license plate towing a flat deck trailer and skid steer.
After being pulled over on a traffic stop RCMP determined that the GMC Sierra was stolen from Crossfield, the black tilt deck trailer was taken from Calgary and the skid steer was stolen from Okotoks.
43-year-old Clayton Whaling, a resident of Foothills County, was arrested and charged with the stolen property with three counts of possession of property obtained by crime over $3,000.
Whaling was released after a judicial interim release hearing and has a date with the Alberta Court of Justice on May 23, 2024, in Airdrie.
